The Peace Mural Project, a community wide artistic call for peace, is on display at the library through Oct. 14. The mural contains hundreds of 4×4-inch squares on which the public is invited to write or draw their hopes and dreams for peace. The Peace Mural Project was designed and is supervised by artist Janyce Boss and is a project of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Downers Grove.

View the September 11 Digital Archive, which uses electronic media to “collect, preserve, and present the history of September 11, 2001, and it’s aftermath.” The archives include more than 40,000 first-hand stories.
September is Library Card Sign-up Month, and public libraries nationwide – including IPPL – want to make sure that every student has the most important school supply of all: a library card.
