StoryShare

Have you shared your family’s story with IPPL yet? StoryShare is an oral history project in which community members are invited to interview family members while a trained IPPL volunteer operates the recording equipment. The interview theme is “family,” and sample questions can be provided. Participants will receive a CD of the interview while the library keeps a copy to preserve for future generations. For more information or to make an interview appointment, call Joe Popowitch at 630/887-8760 ext. 240.

Interview a Family Member at the Library

Help us celebrate the National Day of Listening on Nov. 28 by interviewing a family member in a new service provided by the library called StoryShare (inspired by StoryCorps). You’ll do the talking while a trained volunteer operates the recording equipment. Participants will receive an audio CD of the interview while the library keeps a
copy. Interviews will last about 40 minutes, and the theme is “family.” Book a one-hour
time slot Fri., Nov. 28, 1–5 p.m. or Sat., Nov. 29, 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Register by calling the Ask Us Desk at 630/887-8760 ext. 239.
