What is it?

Write-On is a combination of events for teens. Every year in the fall IPPL hosts a variety of different workshops and events including:

  • Writing Workshops
  • Writing Contest for Poetry, Short Stories, and Song Lyrics
  • Young Adult Author Visit. Past authors have included: A. S. King, Barry Lyga, John Green, and more.

Who can participate?

  • All teens in grades 7-12 are eligible to enter the writing contest and/or attend any event

When is it?

  • Write-On takes place in the fall of every year
  • The library starts accepting writing contest submissions typically October 1
  • The author is usually held the first or second week of November.

How do I sign-up?

  • The library will post the writing contest applications on this webpage on October 1
  • The date of the author visit and workshops will also be posted here as well
