Technical Services Acquisitions Associate
The Indian Prairie Public Library has an opening for a part-time Technical Services Acquisitions Associate. If you are a highly-detailed person, exceptionally savvy with computers and Microsoft Windows and Office applications and love working with a small department of dedicated staff, consider joining our team!
Duties include: Provide excellent customer service and hospitality to ensure positive patron and staff experiences. Order library materials and departmental supplies. Reconcile invoices and vendor statements. Creates and updates material records in library database. Work with vendors to ensure order follow-up and claiming. Replace missing or damaged items as necessary. Run reports on library database. Maintain item records in library database. Check for material content on circulating eReaders and other devices. Receive and enter periodicals in library database. Maintain written documentation and procedures. Direct volunteers with their work
The salary range starts at $12.76/hour. This position works 25 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Benefits include IMRF pension, vacation, sick and personal hours.

Other requirements high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of related experience working in a technical services department or four years of similar experience requiring computer expertise and performance of highly detailed work.
