Chief Shabbona and the Potawatomi

Did you know that the last camp site of the Pottawatomi in Cook County was at the northwestern corner of Plainfield and Wolf Roads? In May 1930 the La Grange Chapter of the D.A.R. dedicated a historic marker to commemorate the camp site which was located on Vial family farmland.
