Murder on the Orient Express

The Murder on the Orient Express (2017, Rated PG-13) movie is highly underrated. The suspense, drama and the amount of questions that has you acting like a detective yourself is what makes this movie great. Just when you think you know how the movie is going there is a twist.

The movie is based off of the book of the same name by Agatha Christie

The Longest Day of the Future

The Longest Day of the Future by Lucas Varela is different . It has no words, side text or even thought bubbles. I really liked the different take on how you have to focus on the images more to get the story. At first, I thought the book moved around a little bit and it took a second for me to understand where the novel was going, but the story as a whole was good.

Jaws

Jaws (Rated PG) is a classic movie that has you questioning what is in the ocean at all times. The amazing camera shots and music drive this movie to be one of the most notorious movies of all time.

The Coldest Girl in Coldtown

The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black is amazing. This book is labeled under teen, but I think that the story is for everyone. A fantasy adventure that has you gripping the book to find out how the characters will survive.

You can listen to the eaudiobook through eMediaLibrary (Libby).

Venom: Let There Be Carnage

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is an action-packed sequel to Venom. There was a lot of set up in this movie to understand the timeline and how Eddie Brock gains a new enemy. The arrival of a new enemy, Carnage, sets the movie off with a bang. The drama between venom and Eddie continues as they fight Carnage to epic proportions.

In Five Years

I don't normally binge read a book in one sitting, but In Five Years by Rebecca Serle had me continuously flipping to the next page to find out what would happen next! Such a great storyline that makes you think about your future.

In Five Years is available as an ebook and eaudiobook on eMediaLibrary (Libby).

Ron's Gone Wrong

I laughed so much during this movie. The awkwardness of the robot Ron is cute and funny. Barney wants to fit in and with the new invention of B-Bots' ability to make friends, everyone has one, except for him. When he does get a B-Bot it turns his life upside down. A fun journey of friendship.

Watch Ron's Gone Wrong on a Roku with Disney+ .

Strange Planet

Strange planet: [imagine pleasant nonsense] by: Nathan W Pyle is an easy read graphic novel that has funny themes to it. The aliens are put in a human position and know a little bit about our everyday items and how we live, but are still very funny guessing them and how they work.

Available as an ebook on Hoopla.

Jungle Cruise

If you like action, dad jokes and more dad jokes this is the movie for you. I loved this movie and how Disney was able to transform the story of a ride from the Disney parks into such a great movie. The action of  Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt blend well into the adventures down the river.

Available to checkout from the library on Blu-Ray and DVDAlso available to watch on Disney Plus, checkout a Roku with Disney Plus to start streaming Jungle Cruise (PG-13).

everyone's an aliebn when you're an aliebn too

Yes, the title of this novel is correct. This is how most of the writing is in this book, but it is for a specific reason. The aliebn Jonny has come to Earth to learn what it is like to be a human being. This journey as to what it means to be a human being and how to make friends. The author Jomny Sun does an amazing job with showing some deep feeling and resonating with the people who are reading it who might not fit in where they are in life. A quote from this book that I believe sums up the tone is, "look. life is bad. everyone is sad. we're all gona die. but i alredy bought this inflatable bouncy castle so are u gona take ur shoes off or wat". I loved this book.

Everyone's an aliebn when you're an aliebn too is available as an eBook and eAudiobook on Hoopla.

Cyberpunk 2077

This game was super immersive. It was a great game to play and the graphics were decent. The only downside is that the campaign goes by really fast. The in game story was fun and you unlock a bunch when you just play normally. It's all futuristic and cool to see what the designers think that 2077 is going to look like.

Cyberpunk 2077 (Rated M) is available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

City Monster

City Monster is my favorite graphic novel from this author. The story seemed to fly by and was nothing what I expected it to be. The artists did a great job with the subtle facial expressions and with the dialog with the images on the pages. There wasn't too much wording, but there also was just enough where it made the story progress. This was kind of like a Pixar short and was written perfectly. I would definitely read this book again and suggest for people to read it as well.

Those Who Wish Me Dead

This is a good action movie for people who like a good comeback story. The title is a little misleading towards the main points of the story. The characters are a good representation of people's strong will to survive and fight for the survival of national parks.

Those Who Wish Me Dead is available for checkout on DVD

The Gift

A little bit older of a movie but is still really good. This thriller makes you double check that your doors are closed and has a good hook that keeps pulling you in.

The Gift (Rated R) is available for checkout on DVD.

Huck

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. The artistry and the story line are so well put together I read it in a day. The story of Huck is that he is a guy with super abilities and helps out the people in his small town as much as he can. When the story of his abilities goes to the press is when everything goes awry. I couldn't put this book down.

Huck by Mark Miller is available as an ebook on Hoopla.
