The Blair Witch Project is a found footage documentary style film telling the story of Heather, Michael and Joshua who travel to Burkittsville, Maryland to make a documentary on the legend of the Blair Witch. The film follows the trio as they hike into the woods in search of different locations to film and as night falls they find themselves lost. Trying to make it back to their car they soon realize they might not be alone and that the local legend might not be a legend at all. I enjoyed the found footage style of the movie. I thought it added to the tension in the atmosphere.

In a dystopian future, humanity has fled to the moon due to an alien invasion and is using androids whose appearance resembles human to fight a war against alien machines. Play as 2B, 9S and A2, the Yorha android units fighting on the side of humanity and traverse a dystopian future in this open world action rpg.

Alice is a filmmaker who has been obsessed with the story of the sudden disappearance of the residents of her grandma's home village, Silvertjärn, a remote mining village in Sweden. Gathering a group to help her accomplish her dream of creating a documentary on the lost village they venture out into the remote area, deep into the forest. There they find the abandoned village lost to time. As they explore the village to unravel the mystery of what happened all those years ago and plan out their film; the group begins to notice that they are not alone. The story is told through a few perspectives that helps bring the past into the present. The audiobook narrator, Angela Dawe, gave a wonderful performance of bringing the characters to life and helped set the unsettling atmosphere. I could not stop listening until I found out the secrets that the village held. The Lost Village by Camilla Sten is a suspenseful and eerie read that is told from the perspective of Alice and a resident of the lost village.

The Conjuring (Rated R) tells the story of Ed and Lorraine Warrens investigation into the paranormal activity happening at the Perron's, recently moved into, farmhouse. Throughout their investigation they find out that there are spirits that are causing the family harm and learn that there is something terrible that haunts them.

Explore the Hisui region and help complete the Pokedex. Unlike in previous Pokémon games to complete the pokedex there are more tasks to be completed to create an entry. Pokémon Legends Arceus changes the way that Pokémon are caught and how they battle. The game has an open world feel to it that encourages exploration of the different areas. The interactions that the players can engage with the Pokémon adds to the open world feeling of the game.

Based off of the book of the same name by Shirley Jackson, The Haunting of Hill House is a horror drama series that came out on Netflix. The series tells the story of the Crain siblings and their life after they have left Hill House and how the house continues to impact the family years after they thought they escaped. The show is told in present day with flashbacks to describe what the family had gone through all those years ago at Hill House.

While summer may be near its end, it's not too late to take a vacation and go on an island getaway. In Animal Crossing: New Horizons (Rated E) you travel to a remote island where you meet fellow island visitors and enjoy some fun and relaxation. There are many activities and events to join in throughout the time there and lots of friendly fun villagers to visit. I've been enjoying my time fishing in the lakes, rivers and oceans on my island and visiting the fellow villagers and island visitors.

Looking for a weekend getaway, best friends Riley and Gwen book a room at a small quaint inn in the middle of the woods where they are away from the bustle and hustle of city life. Joining them is a group a people who come from varying backgrounds coming for a calming weekend. Everything is going well until they hear a scream in the middle of the night and wake up to find a fellow guest at the bottom of the stairs. Caught in the middle of a snowstorm, they have no choice but to spend their weekend inside with someone who might be lurking in the shadows. Tensions rise as suspicion grows with every minute and the group begins to wonder if they will make it to the end of their trip alive.
