The Stranger (1946)

This post-WWII noir classic was directed by and stars Orson Welles. Fabulous shadow effects, long camera shots, and dramatic angles are hallmarks of Welles’ style and make this movie a visual delight. The Stranger was nominated for an Academy Award and was the first Hollywood feature film to include documentary footage of the Holocaust.
